Our Founder

Meet Joan Gaffney, the founder and Chief Experience Coach at ShiftNova. With more than 25 years of experience in product marketing, Joan is a pioneer in the field. She has helped numerous businesses achieve success through her distinctive approach that digs deep to uncover the nuggets of differentiation and creating interactions that forge attachment and loyalty.

Joan founded ShiftNova out of a passion for helping businesses differentiate themselves by recognizing and enhancing the interactions they have with their customers. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Joan is committed to helping small businesses and entrepreneurs translate their individual practices into brand equity that enables them to scale and increase the portable value of their business. As a coach, Joan is known for her thought-provoking questions and ability to co-create with clients to achieve revolutionary outcomes.

Joan holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. She has led the positioning, brand experience development, and launch of numerous products and services that went on to receive accolades including the Technology Innovation award from Fierce Life Sciences, the Gold ADDY from the American Advertising Association, and the Industry Innovator Award from the Institute for Health Care Consumerism.
